Storm warning risk


The Bureau of Meteorology is warning that some parts of the state will hit by severe thunderstorms later today.

Is it normal (and this will apply to Perth as much is it does elsewhere) that after an extended period of dry, that the hardest severe storms tend to drop by? (Example - after the Gippsland/High Country fires in NE Vic a few years back, heavy rain caused massive flooding in the same region just moths later)...?

Thoughts, anyone?

Be prepared WA, is it may get a lot worse yet!
