Topic: Mt Kaputar Weather Station/Webcam

Hi All,
Today we finished setting up a weather station on Mt Kaputar. The station also includes a webcam so that snowfall can be monitored.

At 1475m above sea level it is the third highest AWS in NSW and seventh highest in Australia (counting official BOM stations anyway).

That's great news David! How much planning and work went into that?  Were the authorities supportive

Hey Michael,
It took us about 15 months from when we first decided we wanted to do it until the installation. There was a fair amount of beaurocracy in terms of insurance, workcover certification, site access license, etc..

As you can imagine, after such an extended planning phase we are extremely happy to have the station installed and working!

OMG Dave !! That is excellent, I always wanted a cam there and also would be nice to see a AWS at Ben Lomond someday. Will be great to watch
during winter for the SNOW, thanks for sharing
