QLD/NSW storms 15 Nov 2006 - Now supercell discussion
« on: 18 November 2006, 03:50:42 PM »
Out of interest: what is the probable cause of early hailstones being baseball/cricket ball size vs later stones being golfball with isolated larger stones? Storm dynamics or more enviromental related?

The Brisbane Cell was clearly the Massive HP cell, radar images pre weakening definitely confirm that, plus the whiteout conditions observed.

Within Australian systems which the right or left mover tends to be dominant? and do we have previous experience in whether the split direction determines the intial nature(excluding moving into a more moist enviro) of the storm?
