AMOS Weatherwatch Storm Chasing Talk
« on: 27 July 2006, 05:00:15 PM »
Hi,

I will be talking about some aspect involving storm chasing and severe weather at the Weatherwatch meeting 16th August 2006. I am a firm believer of presenting visually so expect some awesome pictures and videos at the presentation. The topic is still to be decided.

Regards,

Jimmy Deguara

I got the notice for this in the mail - might pop along after work since it's just up the road.
Anyone going to the AGM in Brisbane? Pretty busy at the moment so I am scared to book too far in advance but haven't been to Brissie for a few years.

Given the increasing interest in storm chasing throughout Australia, there will be a presentation on storm chasing on Wednesday 16th August 2006. This will be your opportunity to meet others with this similar interest and in person.

The presentation:

"The Low Precipitation supercell - Storm structure in its splendour"

The presentation will incorporate a discussion on the characteristics of the LP supercell in Australia and the United States "Tornado Alley" including some case study examples.
