Melbourne Storm Pics taken over the last few years
« on: 18 August 2010, 02:09:59 AM »
Hey All,
I wanted to share some of the storm photos I've taken over the last few years, from 2006 to current. These are storms that have been in my local area, west of Melbourne. I'd love to hear from any of the more experienced members to see what they think.
Enjoy!!!
All the Best,
Chris.

All of these storms showed incredible rotation.

Hi Chris, thanks for posting the pics - you might want to search through the existing topics in the severe weather section and add them to the appropriate dates.

In the first three photos can you recall if the dust was rotating at all?

Hi Michael,
Thanks. I'll have a look through the posts to try and find applicable event dates.

The dust cloud in the first three pics was rotating and briefly formed a faint column heading towards the clouds, but with no visible funnel (gustnado perhaps?). I had to bail just sfter the last shot as the storm was heading towards me with lots of CG's dropping.

Really looking forward to documenting thunderstorm events this season and adding pics.

All the Best,
Chris.
