Apparently she was abled to accurately predict 3 out of 4 cyclones that formed in the Coral Sea this season, as well as 85% of summer storms, TC Charlie in 1988 and TC Joy in 1990. It's said that she also predicted the occurrence of hurricanes Gilbert, Hugo and Andrew in the US. As expected, she predicts major things occurring during this May because of the planetary alignment involving Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and, slightly further away, Mercury and Venus. I know that in the early 60's, (1962 perhaps) that there was a closer alignment between the planets. However, I am unaware if anything "spectacular" occurred weatherwise during this year. Anyway, just thought I'd mention this for those needing a laugh. She also has a book out entitled "VIOLENT WEATHER PREDICTIONS 2000-2001: Countdown to Cataclysm". There are more "interesting" articles (not necessarily weather related) at the home site of the above article http://www.nexusmagazine.com/ Cheers -- Robert A. Your Virus Defs are probably picking up on the presense of this name in the email. To test this theory, I am going to send a seperate email called 'Virus follow up' to the list containing the offending file name to see if your software picks it up - it is a good test of your anti-virus software effectiveness, which SHOULD be designed to pick up the presence of the file name in an email. As no other reports of viruses from my other emails seem to have arisen, I think this is the cause. Of course, if ALL my emails are causing your Virus Defs to spin out, let me know immediately, as that would mean I have a real problem to deal with!!!! But great you have moved and finally settled in. The details have been noted. I suppose your details will be updated in the ASWA archive. Weather here in Sydney is cool although the sun is quite strong. Nice puffy cumulus with stratocumulus bases. Just a slight hint of a thin layer of instability although nothing much will happen except for a perhaps a coastal shower or two later - if that. Hi Everyone,

I have recently acquired a Digital Video Camera (Sony DCR-TRV320). It is absolutely fantastic and takes both still and video shots. I have included a sample of video captures and still image pics for everyone to have a look at below.

The first two were taken today and are of the crummy fair weather cumulus which is currently around. Unfortunately there has been no Supercells of late to photograph LOL

The next three pics are video captures taken from a tape of a hailstorm back in Feb 94.

The final two are video captures of impressive pyrocumulus which developed above one of the Blue Mtns fires during Jan 94.

In the future I hope to regularly upload pics of any interesting weather which happens here in the Blue Mtns and abroad.
