Title: Tornado off the beach of Alanya, Turkey
Post by: Meso on 21 October 2006, 08:27:42 AM
Hopefully video link posting won't become a habit for me, but I wanted to share this which I just noticed on smh.com.au, listed as 'breaking news':

Hi Mal,

Was there a tornado? I only saw a chick in bikini.

Yes obviously the waterspouts developed along a boundary - I am suspect about one of them that was closer to the storm core woards the end.

Regards,

  cool
multiple spouts ....   just my luck another good event I didnt get to see in person

thanks for posting the link :)

edit ...   I caught part of this videoclip later on on ch7 news    it also showed a VERY much larger funnel from cloud to water
not just the 3 thin funnels seen in the above clip link
It appeared to be of the same 'movie clip'   ie ... the same beach scene
