Post by: Jimmy Deguara on 16 May 2006, 07:51:21 PM
Hi,

There were 3 fatalities when a high CAPE supercell exploded rapidly and produced a tornado near McKinney northeast of Dallas. The CAPE was of the order of 6500J/kg and th windshear moderate. The tornado damage was rated high F3 low F4. Damage photographs are being posted on our website. Two houses were wiped off their foundation.

Regard,

Jimmy Degura

That story actually made it onto TV news here (NZ).  Also, last night saw a story about very bad flooding in NE USA. I guess with that low parked over their region not suprising.

Hopefully conditions pick up in Chase Alley soon.
