It seems there is the likelihood of snowfalls across the southeast of the country including the Central Tablelands. Some useful falls on the Snowy Mountains to top the dwindling snow cover. A good start for the snow season long weekend across the ski fields.

Michael,

Severe storms were intercepted yesterday with storms rapidly developing near Lithgow initially and also east of Mudgee a little later. There were likely two supercells out of this region. We chased the Lithgow region hoping to get onto the cells near Rhylstone though they were developing too quickly and there were also the cells near Lithgow. So we had to contend with the cell near Capertee.
Here is a nice image of a base circulation and dimple of a funnel almost overhead. This coincided with a wind change in the near storm environmental boundary.
