Hot air balloons often pass along the Eltham Valley in front our place but in nine years of living here they have only landed close by twice. This one came out of the northwest in a very light airstream – hence the fog!
The support crew were quickly in place on my neighbour’s place to pack up the balloon.

Fine weather persists with barely any rain for over 3 weeks here. The week ahead looks dry too with low to mid 20 temps.
On Saturday was in Brisbane for an ASWA meeting. Was a great day with plenty of 2008/09 season photos and footage to enjoy.

Michael,
Indications are that the cooler rainy weather has provided sufficient conditions to put an end to at least most of the bushfires across Victoria. This has been one episode of catosrphic conditions we do not want ever to see again. A much cooler and drier morning here in Sydney as well – a reminder that the winter is fast approaching.
You must be interested in the tropical cyclone developing in far north Queensland – the influence of the onshore airstream should provide increasing showers for your region I suspect into the week.
in the meanwhile, we are into baby purchasing mode now getting ready for the new born’s arrival.
Jimmy
