Severe weather threat continues today! Plus photos from CNN HQ







Tornado watches are currently in effect from northern Mississippi across central Tennessee, Kentucky and into southern West Virginia as yesterday's system continues to move east. The models severely overstated the available moisture in yesterday's setup, leading to anaemic storms that fired ahead of the main squall line. Today the threat appears to be mostly from damaging winds, but tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
