Typhoon Sinlaku
« on: 20 September 2008, 06:31:06 AM »
Saw this video from James Reynolds who lives and works in Indonesia and chases typhoons around the place.  This video is quite well done and with 150mph winds the vision of him trying to get wind speeds whilst not being blown over is impressive.  Worth a look at this beauty of a typhoon.  James is a regular contributor on this type of thing and obviously loves it!

LOL sideways rain!  Looks like he's being shot-peened by precip.  But you have to get the data somehow and probably lucky he was not impaled by debris.

I don't think I have ever seen footage of a storm outside the US with such a destructive power like this storm - and James has definetly put me on the edge of my seat whilst watching this vid. I highly recommend this vid to anyone with some interest in storms - the blinding rain being tossed by the wind is dramatic to say the least.
