Hurricane Katrina Pics
« on: 09 April 2008, 04:02:35 AM »
These may have done the rounds via email but thought they were worthwhile enough to thow up on a post.

Taken by a man in Magee, where the eye of the storm passed through.

Magee is 150 miles North of Waveland , Mississippi where the Hurricane made land fall.

Hi wol,

Sorry to disappoint but they all seem to be photos taken by Mike Hollingshead (www.extremeinstability.com)! I would know his amazing images anywhere as I'm a huge fan of his work!

Images of spectacular supercellular storms from Nebraska and most of tornado alley, they most definitely are but, Hurricane Katrina images they are not lol?!
(The second image is one of my favorite photos of Mike's taken at Sioux City on May 28, 2004.)

Cheers,
Shauno

I guess you can't belive everything that comes through email these days now can you!

Great pics all the same, just couldn't resist posting them. Enjoy.

Late viewing the pics but yeah they def aren't from Katrina!  These are classic photos that just about everyone has seen.
