Hi Andrej,

Lucky is the operative word - wow he drove virtually into a multivortex. I bet he took a toilet break after that effort!

What about this!  A huge tornado in Saudi Arabia of all places.  There's a bit of the Muslim Qawwali loudly through it so just turn it down a tad, but the footage is very cool.

You can watch the new current series of StormChasers on YouTube but this episode has gotten the most attention!  About half way through and Sean Casey extends the claws into Reed's body.  He's just frustrated with the lack of tornado footage and I feel for the guy.  Worth a look guys !

I have an original pic, I scanned from the wichita falls tornado of 1979. I will find it and send it in. My aunt's friend took it from that ara ont op of a building. That must have been quite a site!

Okay here's a video for you experienced guys of such things.

Is it a false tornado?

Simply a funnel?

It's not rotating very quickly but it is def attached to the cloud base.  I'd like some definitive opinions from those in the know re this video.  I don't know wher it is but has me intrigued.  thanks.

I was just mesmerized by that, so interesting watching it. A very strong thermal to pick up that amount of weight. I feel sorry for the farmer who has to untangle all of it. :)

Hi Colin,

Quote
...strong thermal...

This is definitely a vortex - dust devil.

Felt sorry for the farmer? Yes I didn't really mean to laugh:)

However, it is quite possible the heat created by the plastic itself  may have attributed to the vortex in the first place.

Hi,

In response to looking at the Pakitani tornado Nick posted, I found this tornado rather interesting as well. This hit the Columbian capital not sure when but it is rather interesting!
