Repair day for the SRV!  In preparation for the upcoming storm chases

Here is video of Kevin Barton and Terry Rosema fine-tuning the SRV before the big storm chases over the coming weeks.  Fixes included the front hydraulic pins, which were bent from catching air on the canyon roads in New Mexico, one of the front headlights which was cracked in the Kirksville tornado, and an oil change.  Now we're ready to surge north to Colorado for tomorrow's chase!

SRV (a.k.a the Dominator) repair before major tornado action

Based on the long-range models and indicators in the Pacific Climate System, it appears that the next 3 weeks or so are going to be absolutely insane for severe weather.  In the near-term, we'll be chasing Colorado tomorrow for a decent chance of tornadoes, Northwest KS on Saturday, and Iowa on Sunday for a more significant severe weather event.  After this system, the models are indicating the most significant trough of the season will take over the Western U.S. by the end of next week into next weekend, so it looks like we'll be staying busy!
