Severe winds and storms sweep across Sydney
READ MORE TO VIEW GALLERY & VIDEOEmergency services have been inundated with calls for assistance overnight as a strong southerly moved across Sydney overnight.The NSW Fire Brigade has responded to hundreds of calls for assistance with power lines down, motor vehicle accidents, trees across roads as well as threats of a scaffolding collapse at a building site in the CBD.The Bureau of Meteorology issued a Gale warning for most parts of the NSW coast with wind speeds recorded in excess of 70kmph with gusts up to 90km/h.
