Hi all,

I am slowly going through my video and pics of our 2010 US Chase (May 23-30) and will post some shots including some panoramics I'm quite happy with.

In the meantime, this timelapse from a US chaser is what I think chasing dreams are made of and some of the best 'on the move' timelapse i've seen and really captures the essence of chasing a big tornado producer up close!

Hi Brad,

I saw that one on Storm Track and was amazed too! Skip Talbot has a number of very interesting timelapse sequences this season.

No matter what anyone says, no tornado or storm events this season beats this day. I guess that is the mid to late June event that tends to occur over the northern plains. As David and I have discussed in regards to this event and similar events in the past, you practically have to live in the US to have such opportunities.

Incredible stuff.  To watch the storm form and mature is fascinating - I still can't get my head around the rotation of this beast.  Big thanks for sharing this!

Just amazing!

I'm astonished at all the subsequent funnel clouds that appear out of all the turbulence around the meso and main vortex.  :o

That structure kicking off around 1:10 is insane and really photogenic!

It really beggars belief doesn't it?  you can view all the single shot captures and video of these things but time lapse really shows you what is happening.  This video should be firmly planted in the educational section of the NWS and SPC - and here also - it shows so much about the storm, what it does, how it does it, when it does it.  I'm really quite grateful that you posted this video - truly an astounding piece of footage and blows everything else away.

Too true Mike! Can't beat truly great footage at times like these.

Mike Hollingshead (extremeinstability.com) has a video up from 16th of June also, taken in the Dupree area of South Dakota. He was on a truly immense cyclic-supercell that had twin meso-cyclonic areas, both spawning large tornado's simultaneously. The scale of that storm is unbelievable! Definitely have a look if you can.
