Severe weather possible for much of central U.S.!

(http://www.tornadovideos.net/images/stories/2010/june_2010/6.13.10.validww.png)Severe thunderstorms have been occurring over an expansive area this  afternoon, from Indiana to the Big Bend region in southwest Texas! Tornadoes  have been reported in the Oklahoma Panhandle area, where a line of convection  stretching from near Buffalo, OK on the Kansas border southwest toward Amarillo,  TX has managed to separate into discrete supercells. If these storms can remain  discrete into the late afternoon and evening, tornadoes should be more likely,  as the low-level shear is forecast to become stronger closer to sunset. As  always, a number of chasers are streaming this event, so tune in to the Live  page (http://chase.tornadovideos.net/pages/full_screen) to follow their progress!
