Title: Barrage of depressions in Southern Asia
Post by: Mike on 09 August 2007, 01:55:20 PM
This region is going off the planet with regards to tropical disturbances.  There's three depressions within 500km of each other and two are likely to become typhoons with one being a landbased depression that will die out. SSTs are 27-32C so it's an ideal breeding ground.  Great stuff if your'e chasing abroad!  Just so much activity in that part of the world in the past two months - Wonder if the US hurricane season will be as lethal....
