Title: Severe Storms WA - 19th December 2006 - watch satpics
Post by: Jimmy Deguara on 20 December 2006, 03:30:26 AM
I would watch WA for storms today!

A slowly advancing upper trough will produce explosive activity in WA - worthy of discussion. Some may be elevated but the satellite pictures right across south western Australia and also further north will see widespread large thunderstorms.

As the day progresses, feel free to post some satellite images, radar imagery and animations that may be of interest. Not sure how good the lightning tracker will be given the distance from the main detectors.

Regards,

Jimmy Deguara

There have now been 4 consecutive days with major thunderstorms outbreaks (17 - 20th). I'll try and put up some satpics loops later today but they are quite large !
