Woman drowned after being pulled into a rip at Maroubra Beach
READ MORE TO VIEW GALLERY & VIDEOPolice hold grave fears for a 28 year old female that was pulled into a strong rip whilst swimming with her husband on Tuesday evening.
At 8.15pm the couple were near the centre of the beach when a large wave knocked them over. A strong current pulled the woman out to sea whilst the male was able to make it back to shore.
He quickly raised the alarm and emergency services began a long operation to search for the missing swimmer.
