Offshore Thunderstorm NSW Northern Rivers: 27/1/2009   on: 27 January 2009, 11:07:53 PM

I was watching the radar and I noticed some nice colour near where I was staying (Evans head). I went outside and I saw a lightning active cell coming from the east. The lightning and rain died down dramatically so I captured some pictures before it completely died down. I also have a radar image of the cell represented in a red circle. I did not expect showers to develop into a storm. It resulted in some moderate rain here are the shots.

Storm chasing is dangerous. Do not storm chase unless you have consulted or chased with others who have proven extensive chase experience.
