What's the story with this tornado guy's? Was this spawned by a low topped supercell or as a gustnado along a frontal boundary? It seemed to be pretty strong and more than likely caused by a low topped supercell imho. Any thought from the mjore experienced considering this looks to have been more significant than the Sydney event?

From the synoptics and radar at the time of the even it appears to be a multicell spawned tornado, however the evidence is not conclusive that a supercell wasnt embedded within the cold front. Was definitely not a gustnado though, it was far too strong, and did not occur on the frontal boundary according to witnesses(they heard wind/rain before the event). So either a Multicell spawned cold core, or a supercelluar as part of the frontal system.

Came across some more photos of this event:

No sounding is available for Perth, but I guess it would have been similar to Albany 00z

Storm chasing is dangerous. Do not storm chase unless you have consulted or chased with others who have proven extensive chase experience.
