1. This board is for current significant weather events and storm chasing discussion in Australia only. Please use the other boards for international severe weather including Tornado Alley, general weather, questions, historical events etc.

2. Any member is welcome to start a thread if none is currently open for the weather event in question. Include the region and date range in the topic heading. Thread subjects may be altered by moderators if event dates vary or the geographic extent changes.

3. Off topic discussion may be moved to the general weather board. Posts may be edited or deleted by moderators to ensure threads remain relevant for all participants. Feel free to ask the moderators if ever unsure.

4. For threads covering multiple dates, please include a date at the start of your post so that it is clear which day is being referred to in your report.

5. If you wish to include radar loops as part of your reports please select the radar and the start/stop times from the Strike One radar archives and post the link of the selection. Permanent radar loops will then be placed on this website and linked from your post. Please only request this for major events.

6. Please attach images to your posts if links you are referring to will change or be deleted over time. Click "+ Additional Options..." underneath the reply textbox to add images. Weather maps, soundings, satellite images and photos etc should be resized to about 1000 pixels or less on the longest border. For photos make sure you use JPG and compress so images are in the 50 to 200kb range.

Thank-you for your co-operation Smiley

Storm chasing is dangerous. Do not storm chase unless you have consulted or chased with others who have proven extensive chase experience.
